Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 19: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who returned from Mumbai to Delhi on Monday from former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi Bharat Nyay Yatra, discussed the possible candidates from Himachal Pradesh with several senior party leaders. Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh also reached Delhi on Monday evening. Chief Minister Sukhu and Pratibha Singh will attend the proposed Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi on Tuesday. After this meeting, the candidates can be discussed in the Central Election Committee meeting. Chief Minister Sukhu and State Congress President Pratibha Singh are likely to remain in Delhi on Wednesday also.

Party sources said that on Monday, the Chief Minister held consultations with several leaders in Delhi regarding four possible candidates for the Lok Sabha and six possible candidates for the Assembly by-elections.

Chief Minister Sukhu also discussed the six disqualified MLAs who rebelled against Congress. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister along with Pratibha Singh can meet the high command regarding the political situation of the state. A meeting of the Central Election Committee of Congress is also likely to be held on Tuesday. In this meeting, there can be discussion regarding the possible candidates shortlisted by Himachal Congress Committee. It is likely to take some more time to decide the Congress candidates for the elections to be held in the state. Elections are to be held in the last phase in the state. Notification regarding Lok Sabha elections and assembly by-elections will be issued on May 7. In such a situation, there is no possibility of any haste in deciding the Congress candidates.
