2017 batch IAS Kiran Bhadana, who was the Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Empowerment of Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minorities and Specially Disabled.

Whereas 2014 batch IAS Pradeep Kumar Thakur, who was holding the responsibility of this post, has been appointed as the Settlement Officer of Shimla Division. Director Transport IAS DC Negi has been relieved from the additional charge of Settlement Officer of Shimla Division.
