Anurag Thakur: Rs 43 Crore Approved From Center For Rejuvenation Of Daulatpur Chowk Railway Station

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Hamirpur, March 08: Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth & Sports Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur has said that approval has been received from the Center for development and upgradation works worth more than Rs 43 crore for Daulatpur Chowk Railway Station (DLPC). These developments include construction of a new complex and new covered washing line for better maintenance of rolling stock at Daulatpur Chowk Railway Station.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav for the approval from the Center for development and upgradation works worth more than Rs 43 crore for Daulatpur Chowk Railway Station (DLPC).

Anurag Thakur said that he is trying to provide better connectivity facilities in the Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left no stone unturned to ensure better connectivity in the Himachal Pradesh. The Central Government is working seriously to ensure that rail services expand in the Himachal Pradesh and there is no problem related to connectivity. Rs 1,838 crore has been approved for railway expansion in the Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2023-24.

Among these Projects, Rs 1,000 crore for the strategically important Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Berry railway line, Rs 450 crore for the Chandigarh-Baddi railway line and Rs 452 crore for the Nangal-Talwara railway line have been approved in the budget for the year 2023-24.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the approval of new trains and stoppage of major trains including Churaru-Takrala-Ambala Cantt-Daulatpur Chowk Passenger Special Train and Rai Mehatpur-Saharanpur-Una Himachal Passenger Express is a big gift from the Modi government for the entire Himachal Pradesh.
