Some candidates succeed in HPAS examination after years of hard work, while some remain unsuccessful. There are some candidates who do not give up even after failure. Neha Negi, daughter of Rampur sub-division of Shimla district, has passed the HAS examination in the fourth attempt.

Neha Negi, 28, who cracked the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) exam, is an inspiration for all those who are determined to never give up. Daughter Neha Negi had failed in three attempts of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) examination. Daughter Neha Negi could not even clear the preliminary examination of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS), but Daughter Neha Negi has now passed the HAS examination by securing sixth rank.

Neha Negi, a daughter of a rural background, was born and brought up in Sarahan, Rampur Bushahr, Upper Shimla. Daughter Neha Negi did her primary and class 10th education in Sarahan. Daughter Neha Negi was a topper in school in class 10th. Daughter Neha Negi has completed her 12th class studies from DAV Lakkar Bazar, Shimla. After this, daughter Neha Negi did B.Sc. Medical from DAV College Chandigarh. Then daughter Neha Negi changed her stream and did PG in History from Punjab University. Daughter Neha Negi has also passed NET in History.

Daughter Neha Negi told that in the last year of Chandigarh DAV College, she had decided to join Civil Services. while doing PG Daughter Neha Negi started studying seriously for the Civil Services Examination.Daughter Neha Negi told that despite not clearing the HAS preliminary exam three times in a row, she never got discouraged and kept preparing.

Daughter Neha Negi told that after studying in the library for 8 to 10 hours every day in Chandigarh, she also did tuition work. Daughter Neha Negi said that her parents and uncle became her inspiration. He could not clear Prelims in three attempts. Even after failing thrice, the courage of daughter Neha Negi did not waver. Daughter Neha Negi again thought of giving the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) examination and in the fourth attempt, the daughter Neha Negi passed the most difficult examination of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS).
