Paonta Sahib, 29 February: News of the tragic demise of Naik (NK) Karanjit Singh (KARANJIT SINGH), resident of Jamni Wala, Paonta Sahib, posted in the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, has been received.

According to initial information, the mortal remains of the late soldier had reached his native village late last night. The last rites will be performed with military honors on Thursday. During this time, floral tributes will also be presented by the army contingent. Let us tell you that the parental unit of the late soldier was 17 JAK Rifle.
According to the information received, late Karanjit Singh had come home on leave about two-three months ago. During this time he became ill. First treatment was done in Paonta Sahib only.

After this he was taken to the Military Hospital, from where late Karanjit Singh was referred to RR Hospital, Delhi. Where Karanjit Singh died on Wednesday. After the demise of late Karanjit Singh, a wave of mourning has arisen in the entire area. Ex-servicemen have expressed deep condolences.
On the other hand, when contacted, Deputy Director of Sainik Welfare Board, Major (retired) Deepak Dhawan said that the information about the death of the soldier was received from the Army only late last night, after which the information was shared with the administration. The final farewell will be given with military honours.
