A joint delegation of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) met Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at his residence in the capital Shimla on Friday. The delegation included Amandeep Grewal, Deputy Head of Mission, British High Commission, and Rajinder S Nagarkoti, political, press and project advisor.

This delegation has invited Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the reception organized by UK-HPCA at Dharamshala Cricket Stadium on 7 March 2024. This reception will be held on the first day of the fifth Test match between India and England cricket teams. The objective of the reception was to showcase British and Himachali cuisine. Also to promote strong relations between UK and Himachal Pradesh. The delegation informed that Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India will also attend the reception. The Chief Minister expressed enthusiasm to explore cooperation with the UK in various sectors such as green hydrogen, electric vehicles, tourism, and water infrastructure. He urged for closer collaboration with the state government to take advantage of UK expertise in these areas. He said that further meetings would be held soon with the British delegation on the proposed issues.
