HPSEB: Electricity Bills Will Not Be Deposited Directly Through Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pay
Executive Engineer of Shimla unit of Electricity Board, Tanuj Gupta said that the meter numbers of the consumers were registered on the UPI app, through which they used to deposit the electricity bills directly. For some time, consumers were not able to pay bills directly through the mobile app. Therefore this information has been issued to the people.

28 lakh consumers of Himachal Pradesh will no longer be able to deposit electricity bills directly through Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pay. All consumers will have to pay bills only by visiting the website of the Electricity Board.
Due to the ban imposed by the Reserve Bank of India on Paytm, Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board has temporarily banned the digital payment of electricity bills through Paytm on Bharat Bill Payment System.
Officials of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited have said that the consumers can pay the bill through the Board’s website https://www.hpseb.in and the official mobile app of the Board through Mobi-Quick, Phone Pay, Google Pay and Bhim App etc.
