Himachal Pradesh Congress President and Mandi MP Pratibha Singh has said that as per the manifesto of Himachal Pradesh government, giving Rs 1,500 to eligible women will soon be started. The state government is working on this. MP Pratibha Singh was addressing the women’s awareness conference as the chief guest at Ram Leela Maidan in Karsog of Mandi district on Wednesday.
More than a thousand women have participated in the women’s awareness conference.
MP Pratibha Singh has called upon women to support the Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He said that the reason for the delay in fulfilling the announcement of giving Rs 1,500 each to women is the heart-wrenching natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has worked to provide relief to the disaster affected people by giving a package of Rs 4,500 crore.
No relief package has been received from the central government during the natural disaster. The Central Government has given step-motherly treatment to Himachal Pradesh.
On the demand of the women present at the Women’s Awareness Conference, MP Pratibha Singh assured to fill the post of Gynecologist in Civil Hospital Karsog and also announced to give Rs 5 lakh for the construction of a stage at Ramlila Maidan.
MP Pratibha Singh visited the exhibitions organized by various departments and also participated in mass dance with women.
Health check-up of about 200 women has been done in the camp organized in Women Awareness Conference.
