Regarding the protest against Kikar-Navgaon drinking water scheme, the Sangharsh Committee said that if their demands are not met then they will block the NH. The second Mahapanchayat was organized at Triveni Ghat on Tuesday. Representatives of various Panchayats and hundreds of people participated in it. Shrinayana Devi ji’s MLA Randhir Sharma also came to participate in this mahapanchayat. Police force has been deployed on the spot. After the Mahapanchayat, the villagers went to the spot and got the drinking water scheme work stopped. Also threw stones in the tank under construction. The situation has become tense. The villagers also raised slogans against the Arki administration and the government. During this, BJP MLA Randhir Sharma was also present on the spot. The struggle committee said that the administration and the government are not taking this matter seriously. If drinking water scheme is made here then people of Bilaspur will have to face water crisis in summer. No one is thinking about this. He said that if this work is not stopped soon, the movement will become more violent. It will be the responsibility of the government and administration. He said that in the name of providing water to Panchayats, water is being given to Ambuja Company. This will not be allowed to happen. People from more than 50 panchayats attended the Mahapanchayat.
