ISBT Tutikandi: Loss of Rs 25 Lakh in Massive Fire in Showroom, Rescue of Rs 2 Crore

A massive fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday in the car showroom located at Tutikandi ISBT in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Due to the huge flames, there was panic among the passengers present at Tutikandi ISBT. In a massive fire, three new vehicles parked in the car showroom were burnt to ashes.

Due to the massive fire, spare parts and alignment machines worth 25 lakhs of rupees kept in the showroom were also burnt to ashes. To extinguish the massive fire, three fire tenders from Baluganj as well as Chhota Shimla and Mallroad fire stations have been called to the spot.

As soon as information about the massive fire was received, Baluganj police teams also reached the spot and took stock of the entire situation. It took more than three hours for four fire tenders to control the massive fire.

Due to the timely response of fire personnel from Baluganj, Chhota Shimla, Mallroad fire stations, the huge fire was brought under control and a huge loss of Rs 2 crore was avoided. Gopal Das said that in the massive fire, goods worth approximately Rs 25 lakh were burnt to ashes from the showroom. Also, property worth Rs 2 crore has been saved from being destroyed in the massive fire. Gopal Das said that there has been no report of anyone getting burnt in the entire incident of horrific fire.

The complete reasons for the massive fire have not been known yet. According to the teams of Baluganj police station, the investigation process into the cause of the massive fire has been started.
