Shimla News: Schedule For Biennial Elections Released For 56 Rajya Sabha Seats In 15 States Including Himachal Pradesh.

Voting for 56 seats is scheduled to be held on February 27 by the Election Commission of India. Biennial elections are going to be held for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states of India. A Biennial seat from Himachal Pradesh is also included in the biennial elections. BJP National President and MP JP Nadda is going to complete his tenure on the Biennial seat of Himachal Pradesh on 2 April 2024. The schedule of Biennial elections has been released by the Election Commission of India on Monday.
According to the Election Commission of India, notification for the biennial elections of 56 Rajya Sabha seats is going to be issued on February 8. After the release of the notification, the entire process of filing nominations is going to be done by 15th February. The sorting process of nomination papers will be done on 16th February. After that the candidates can withdraw their names till 20th February. The voting process will be conducted on February 27 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The counting of votes will be done by the Election Commission of India by 5:00 pm on 27 February. The entire Biennial election process is going to be completed before 29th February.
According to the official website of the Election Commission of India, there are three Rajya Sabha Biennial seats from the state of Andhra Pradesh, six Biennial seats from the state of Bihar, one Biennial seats from the state of Chhattisgarh, four Biennial seats from the state of Gujarat, one Biennial seats from the state of Haryana, one Biennial seats from the state of Himachal Pradesh, four Biennial seats from the state of Karnataka, four Biennial seats from the state of Madhya Pradesh, Elections are going to be held on five Biennial seats in Maharashtra state, six Biennial seats in Telangana state, ten Biennial seats in Uttar Pradesh state, one Biennial seats in Uttarakhand state, five Biennial seats in West Bengal state, three Biennial seats in Odisha state and three Biennial seats in Rajasthan state.
