Jal Shakti Department’s First Woman ENC Anju Sharma Said – Employees Causing Irregularities In Water Supply Will Not Be Spared.
Anju Sharma, the first woman engineer of Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, every house in Himachal Pradesh has been fitted with a tap. They are also getting information and complaints that tap water is not reaching many houses.

Shimla –To overcome the water problem in all the rural and urban areas of Himachal Pradesh and to provide tap water to all the houses, it has been decided by the Himachal Pradesh Government to reward all the employees, parafitters and pump operators. Besides, all the employees involved in irregularities in water supply in Himachal Pradesh will also be suspended by the Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department. Now the engineers of Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department are also going to receive daily reports from all the rural panchayat heads regarding water supply. The recruitment process has been started for four hundred and five hundred different posts in Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department. With the start of the recruitment process, the shortage of parafitter, multi-tasking staff and pump operator employees in Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department will soon be removed.

Complete information was given by Anju Sharma, the first woman posted on the important post of Engineer in Chief (ENC) of Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department, while addressing the Diary Times press conference. While talking to Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma in the Diary Times press conference held on Tuesday, ENC Anju Sharma said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Himachal Pradesh, taps have been installed in every house in the urban and rural areas. But they are also receiving complaints that tap water is not reaching many houses. ENC Anju Sharma said that Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department is considering new schemes to overcome the water problem. Along with this, the work of upgradation of various Jal Shakti schemes of Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department is also being done at a fast pace. All the problems related to water in Himachal Pradesh will be resolved soon. ENC Anju Sharma said that providing clean drinking water from tap to the people of Himachal Pradesh is the priority of the Jal Shakti Department. The work of connecting all the rural panchayats of Himachal Pradesh with sewerage lines is also being started. Work is also being done at a fast pace to increase interest in farming among the farmers and gardeners of Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, Jal Shakti Department is working keeping in mind all the irrigation schemes in Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department will organize meetings in all the Panchayats once every month –
ENC Anju Sharma said that once in every month, meetings will be organized by the Jal Shakti Department in all the panchayats and towns. Junior Engineer or Assistant Engineer of Jal Shakti Department will register their presence in the meetings. In the meeting of Jal Shakti Department, the problems of the public regarding water problems will be heard and resolved.
