Gopal Nag, who left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the Congress, has been sworn in as Mayor of Municipal Corporation Palampur by the ruling Himachal Pradesh Congress Party.
On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh has sworn in Rajkumar as the Deputy Mayor of Palampur Municipal Corporation.
According to sources of Himachal Pradesh Congress in Municipal Corporation Palampur of Palampur assembly constituency of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, the name of Radha Sood was in the headlines, but the final decision was approved by Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh in the name of Gopal Nag.
