Businessman Nishant Sharma of Palampur in Himachal Pradesh had filed a status report on October 28, 2023, through an e-mail to the Himachal Pradesh High Court, saying that his life and that of his family were in danger.

An FIR will be lodged against Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Dr. Sanjay Kundu in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and the investigation process of the entire case will be started by the Kangra District Police Administration.
Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh High Court Anoop Ratan has provided complete information while addressing the Diary Times press conference.
The status report has been filed in the Himachal Pradesh High Court on Thursday.
After the status report was filed in the Himachal Pradesh High Court, SP Kangra and SP Shimla have also filed their respective status reports.
In the entire matter, the Himachal Pradesh government has given full assurance to the court bench of Himachal Pradesh High Court and said that under the complaint being filed by businessman Nishant Sharma, an FIR will be registered in Kangra district.
It may be noted that Himachal Pradesh High Court had summoned the status report from SP Shimla and SP Kangra in the entire case of Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma strengthening the security arrangements for himself and his family.
The division bench headed by the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court had also issued a notice to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Home Secretary and summoned him to file a status report in the entire matter.

Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma had sent an e-mail to the Himachal Pradesh High Court on October 28, 2023, stating that his life and that of his entire family was in danger.
Businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma had written in the e-mail that he is completely worried and scared that his family members or he is being threatened with death by Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Dr. Sanjay Kundu and at the same time his family members are being threatened with death and being continuously intimidated and threatened to kill in a very serious manner.
Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma has also told through e-mail that he himself was attacked by gangsters in Gurugram, Haryana, in order to kill him, in which his life was narrowly saved.
Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma is being stopped by two bike-borne persons on the main road between Bhagsunag and McLeodganj in Himachal Pradesh and is being continuously threatened for withdrawing the investigation report of the entire matter.
Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma has also mentioned through e-mail that he was threatened by the Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police by calling him fourteen times in a single day.
Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma has also mentioned in his e-mail the threats being given by DSP Palampur and SHO Palampur through continuous calls.
Apart from this, information has also been given by SHO Palampur through his WhatsApp message through e-mail about the conversation with Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Dr. Sanjay Kundu.
Along with this, Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma has also mentioned about the complete pressure being created to call the Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police office through e-mail.
Also, on the call back of Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma, the Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police had said that Nishant, you come to the capital Shimla and talk to me.
On the entire process, Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma told DGP Dr. Sanjay Kundu why he wanted to meet him in the capital Shimla. DGP Dr. Sanjay Kundu told Nishant Kumar Sharma that you will have to come to the capital Shimla at any cost and will have to meet him.
