Mandi News : The dam of patience of the disaster affected people of Jwali village, which comes under Sarka Ghat sub-division of Mandi district, has started breaking. Due to the heavy rains and disaster during the last 12 to 14 August, this entire village has been displaced.

Due to the disaster, the houses of some people have been razed to the ground, while the remaining houses are in such a condition that they are not fit for habitation. In such a situation, fifty-five affected families of this village are living in a temporary relief camp set up by the administration at Patri Ghat School.

The affected families are very upset due to lack of rehabilitation facilities. In such a situation, they have requested the state government to provide land to the affected people soon and help in construction of houses.

The affected people say that at least 15 days have passed since the disaster and the government is still not showing any speed in the relief and rehabilitation works and all the 55 families of our village are still living in relief camps. We are helpless and we demand from the administration that we should be given land and houses as soon as possible so that our lives can get back on track once again.
