Himachal News : Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has expressed his gratitude to Union Surface Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for announcing an assistance of Rs 400 crore to the state.
During a press conference in Shimla today, he said that the Union Minister has also approved the plan to repair the damaged bridges under the Bharat Setu Yojana and the department will soon prepare a report of the damage and send it to the Ministry so that the construction work can be completed soon.
He said that about 300 roads are still blocked for traffic in the state and efforts are on to open them on a war footing. He said that roads especially in apple-dominated areas are being opened on priority basis so that the apple crop of the farmers can be increased. Can be delivered to the mandis.
