Many places in the state received heavy monsoon rains in the last 24 hours and last night it continued intermittently. Rivers and drains of the state are in spate and the administration has appealed to the people to take precautions.

Traffic is still blocked on hundreds of link roads and several national highways are also partially blocked by landslides. A large portion of the Chamba-Pathankot National Highway has been submerged in the Ravi river and the road has developed cracks.

The roads of the main bus stand of Chamba have been affected by the rain and people say that traveling on this road has become risky and while talking to Diary Times, people said – Concrete wall on the National Highway near Chamba bus stand should be created.

I make a demand to the government that whenever this new bus stand was built, since then when the water level of Ravi river rises, it was a riot from behind and as it continues to sink further and cause a lot of damage. It is happening.Such a situation happened earlier in Mandi in Himachal too, when the bus stand was built, the Ravi river washed away the bus stand.

So I have a request to the administration and the government that here someone should be raised from the bottom with RCC pillows or concrete should be installed, so that it becomes firm forever, so that the facility for coming and going is also good and our The people of Chamba should not be afraid of anything near the stand here.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of continuation of rain in the state for the next three to four days and a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in many areas.
