Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has alleged that after the disaster in the state, relief and rehabilitation works are not being done at the expected pace. Because of this, the affected people are not getting timely relief.

Talking to reporters in Mandi, Jairam Thakur said that hundreds of roads and facilities like electricity, water and mobile phones have come to a standstill even after eight days of the disaster.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, he said that nothing will happen with the visits. Rather, there is a need to understand the situation seriously. He alleged that till now nothing has been given to the people in the name of relief, which is unfortunate.

He said that delay in relief is a huge human crime. Wherever we have gone in the entire Himachal Pradesh, till now only one thing is coming to mind that nothing has happened in the form of relief. In spite of such a huge tragedy, I think it is very unfortunate that the relief is delayed, it has to be taken seriously by the government.

The government should do three to four things. First of all, there should be no delay in getting relief to the deserving person immediately. If there is delay in relief, then naturally I understand that it is a big human crime. Take this matter seriously. is required.

Jairam Thakur said that this time there was advance warning of monsoon’s arrival and heavy rains. Despite this, the government did not make any preparations to deal with the monsoon. He said that it was a big mistake of the government. The Leader of the Opposition said that if the government had shown caution in time, the damage could have been reduced in the state.

Jairam Thakur alleged that there was no such thing as coordination in the government. He said that the ministers of the government were trying to humiliate each other despite the calamity in the state and were not serious about this tragedy.
