Incessant monsoon rains are wreaking havoc in other districts of the state as well. Dozens of Road Transport Corporation routes have come to a standstill due to heavy rains blocking roads in Sirmaur district.
And the Yamuna river and Markanda river flowing along Paonta Sahib and other small river drains are in spate. The sequence of rains is continuing in Sirmaur district for the last three days.
Due to heavy rains yesterday, most of the roads in Sirmaur district are completely blocked for traffic and for this reason dozens of HRTC routes are also blocked due to which people are facing difficulties in movement somewhere.
However, the Public Works Department has started efforts to restore the road. On the other hand, after heavy rains in Sirmaur district, rivers and streams are also in spate and there are continuous reports of landslides from many places.
