Wrestler Protest News: A panchayat was held in Dhikauli village in support of the wrestlers sitting on a dharna at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where the villagers declared their support for the wrestlers. The speakers said that if the wrestlers do not get justice soon, then the villagers will not back down from the movement. Along with reaching Jantar Mantar, they will join the dharna.
Villagers from many villages including Panchi, Sakraud, Dattanagar, Laliana, Basi, Sikheda, Hisavada participated in the panchayat held in Dhikauli village. While addressing the Panchayat, senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party, Advocate Somendra Dhaka said that on one hand BJP government is giving slogan of Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, on the other hand women wrestlers are being harassed. He alleged that instead of providing justice to the wrestlers, work is being done to suppress their voices. The daughters who brought laurels to the country, today those daughters are sitting on protest at Jantar Mantar. He raised the demand to arrest MP Braj Bhushan Singh. On this occasion, the speakers announced to hold agitation by reaching Delhi’s Jantar Mantar if the wrestlers do not get justice.
