Two hundred and fifty Ayush wellness centers will be started in Himachal Pradesh in this financial year. With the opening of these centres, people will be benefited from the AYUSH system of Indian medical science.
In these centres, treatment facilities for various diseases will be made available through different packages. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu told in Shimla that providing better and state-of-the-art medical facilities to the people of the state is one of the main priorities of the state government.
He said that apart from providing world class facilities in health institutions, the government is also promoting ancient Ayurveda system of medicine in the state.
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that more than five hundred new herbal gardens will also be developed by the government in different parts of the state with the help of Panchayati Raj Education and Rural Development Department.
He said that these gardens will not only produce quality medicines, but will also emerge as a center of attraction for the tourists coming to the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the National Ayush Mission, farmers will be encouraged to produce medicinal plants.
