Anurag Thakur Targets Pakistan Over Terrorism

During the interaction, Thakur also criticized Pakistan, alleging that the neighboring country has failed in several sectors except promoting terrorism.

He said blaming India for Pakistan’s internal challenges has become a recurring pattern, while India continues to strengthen its position globally through economic growth, development initiatives, and international leadership.

Modi Government’s 12-Year Journey Highlighted

Highlighting the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Thakur described the period as one driven by transparency, good governance, national security, public service, and inclusive growth.

According to him, India has progressed significantly over the last decade, moving from the world’s tenth-largest economy in 2014 to the fifth-largest economy today, while maintaining its status as one of the fastest-growing major economies.

Thakur also claimed that over 25 crore people have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty during this period.

Flagship Welfare Schemes Mentioned

The BJP leader credited several central government schemes for improving the lives of millions of citizens, including:

  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
  • Ayushman Bharat
  • Jal Jeevan Mission
  • Ujjwala Yojana
  • PM Jan Dhan Yojana
  • Digital India
  • Startup India

Thakur further stated that the Centre has continued extending financial assistance to Himachal Pradesh for infrastructure development, disaster rehabilitation, healthcare facilities, and capital investment projects.

He informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), projects worth more than ₹2,247 crore, including 294 rural road projects, have been approved for the state.

Temple Visit and Environmental Initiative

During his visit to Shimla, Thakur offered prayers at the historic Jakhu Temple and later participated in a tree plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
