Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta Highlights Role of Youth and Patriotism in Nation Building

Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday emphasized that patriotism, strong leadership, and the energy of youth are crucial for building a strong and progressive nation.

Speaking during an interaction with cadets of the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, at Lok Bhavan, the Governor highlighted how young minds play a decisive role in shaping the country’s future.

The visiting delegation was led by Naval Officer Sneha and included faculty members Aruna Sharma and Nitin Vaishnav. During the interaction, cadets shared their ambitions of joining the National Defence Academy and serving the nation, particularly through the Indian Navy.

Addressing the students, Gupta pointed out that the modern world is rapidly evolving, requiring individuals to stay curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning. He encouraged cadets to think beyond traditional roles and prepare themselves as future leaders.

“You are not just soldiers in training, but future leaders responsible for upholding the nation’s values and integrity,” he said.

The Governor also acknowledged the vital role played by the armed forces in ensuring the country’s safety and stability. He urged cadets to work hard and become worthy of the trust placed in them.

Praising RIMC, Gupta noted that the institution has consistently produced disciplined, focused, and patriotic officers. He stressed the importance of maintaining integrity, character, and discipline, while encouraging students to aim high and embrace challenges instead of settling for mediocrity.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of Lok Bhavan, marking an inspiring interaction between experienced leadership and aspiring young officers.
