Happy New Year 2026 : ‘May 2026 Bring New Hopes, Resolutions and Self-Confidence’: PM Narendra Modi Greets Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended New Year greetings to the nation, wishing citizens a happy, healthy and prosperous 2026.

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said he hoped the new year would bring new hopes, fresh resolutions and renewed self-confidence for everyone. He prayed for success in people’s endeavours and fulfilment in all their efforts.

“May this year bring good health and prosperity to all. I pray for peace, happiness and harmony in society,” the Prime Minister said, extending his best wishes as the country stepped into the new year.

Earlier, Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi also conveyed New Year greetings through a post on X, expressing hope that 2026 would bring good health, happiness and success to people across the country.

Meanwhile, New Year 2026 was welcomed across India with celebrations, prayers and public gatherings. Cities, hill towns and religious centres witnessed festivities, with people ushering in the new year alongside family and friends amid fireworks and special events.
