Shahpur: State BJP Social Media Department Co-Convenor Shrey Awasthi paid a courtesy visit to Shri Ajay Tamta Ji, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Shrey Awasthi briefed the Hon’ble Minister in detail about the slow pace of the under-construction National Highway in Shahpur and the serious problems arising due to it. He highlighted that because of the prolonged and sluggish construction work, local trade and businesses have been badly affected. The general public and shopkeepers are facing continuous hardships, with no immediate relief in sight.

Hon’ble Minister Shri Ajay Tamta listened to all the issues patiently and with full seriousness. He stated that since he himself represents the Almora–Pithoragarh region, whose geographical conditions are very similar to Himachal Pradesh, he completely understands the challenges, pain, and ground realities of the people living in hilly regions.

The Minister assured that he would soon take up the matter with concerned departmental officials and ensure necessary action, and would issue directions to speed up the highway construction work.

At the end of the meeting, Shrey Awasthi also extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Minister to visit Shahpur, which the Minister graciously accepted.
