Himachal Assembly Winter Session Begins with Courtesy Meeting and Constitutional Oath
The Himachal Pradesh Winter Session opened with a courtesy exchange between CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur. Members marked Constitution Day by reading the Preamble before the House took up official business.
Winter Session of the Himachal Assembly Begins
The Winter Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly commenced with a brief courtesy meeting inside the House. Before the first day’s proceedings began, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu greeted Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and BJP legislators, extending his best wishes for the session.
Speaker Kuldeep Pathania opened the session by welcoming the Leader of the House, the Leader of the Opposition, and all members.
Proceedings began with the National Anthem, after which the Speaker and all MLAs marked Constitution Day by reading the Preamble of the Constitution in the House.
Following this, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the obituary references.
