France Warns It Could Ban Shein from Market Over Childlike Sex Dolls
France said on Monday it could block Chinese online retailer Shein’s access to the French market if the company ever resumes selling sex dolls resembling children. Shein had earlier withdrawn the products following pressure from French regulators.
“If it happens again, we will be within our legal rights to restrict Shein’s access to the French market,” Finance Minister Roland Lescure told BFM TV.
When contacted by Reuters over the weekend, Shein said in an email: “As soon as we became aware of these serious violations, the products were immediately removed from our platform.”
