The ‘Chalo Chamba’ campaign made a striking impression at the Global Wildlife and Ecotourism Fair 2025, held from October 10 to 12 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. Organized by Asian Adventure, the two-day event brought together participants from 12 Indian states and 19 countries, all known for their contributions to wildlife exploration and conservation.

Representing Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district, members of NotOnMap and the Association for Conservation and Tourism (ACT) showcased the region’s rich biodiversity and immense potential for ecotourism. Led by ACT President Jasoda Chettri, the team — including Shubham Sharma and Sunil Thakur from NotOnMap — highlighted Chamba’s unique natural heritage, including its five wildlife sanctuaries, and invited domestic and international tourists to explore the district’s diverse flora and fauna.

The fair served as a global platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and promoting responsible tourism practices aligned with wildlife conservation goals. Discussions were held on boosting wildlife tourism, trade exhibitions, and awareness campaigns, with participants engaging with conservationists, entrepreneurs, and wildlife enthusiasts to explore ways of strengthening sustainable travel initiatives.

Manuj Sharma, co-founder of NotOnMap, along with other stakeholders, expressed gratitude to India’s “Tourism Gandhi” Raj Basu and ACT for providing Chamba with a national platform for representation.

Calling the participation a milestone, NotOnMap founder Kumar Anubhav said, “Our collaboration with ACT at this fair marks a crucial step toward promoting responsible tourism and bringing Chamba’s wildlife conservation efforts to a global stage.”

The ‘Chalo Chamba’ campaign, initiated by the district administration in collaboration with NotOnMap, aims to foster sustainable and responsible tourism that emphasizes eco-friendly travel, livelihood enhancement, and environmental preservation, while showcasing the region’s cultural and natural diversity.

By encouraging visitors to experience Chamba’s pristine landscapes, wildlife sanctuaries, and traditional heritage in an environmentally conscious manner, the campaign aspires to position Chamba firmly on the global tourism map.
