The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday extended the interim relief granted to former Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) Managing Director Harikesh Meena until October 14 in connection with the death of Chief Engineer Vimal Negi.

While extending the interim protection, the court also granted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) time until October 14 to file its response to the reply submitted by the state government.

The matter came up for hearing before Justice Virender Singh. After a brief session, the court adjourned the proceedings to October 14.
