Himachal BJP President Election Announced: Nominations on June 30, Results on July 1

Shimla, June 29:
Himachal Pradesh BJP’s election officer Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, in a press conference held at Deep Kamal Chakkar, Shimla, shared important details about the upcoming elections for the State President and National Council members of the party. He emphasized that the BJP remains firmly committed to its democratic traditions, and accordingly, organizational elections are being conducted across the country.
Dr. Bhardwaj stated that under the leadership of BJP’s national election in-charge Laxman, the booth, mandal, district, and state-level elections have been successfully completed nationwide. In Himachal Pradesh alone, elections have concluded at over 8,000 booths, 171 mandals, and 17 districts. A total of 114 delegates in the state will vote to elect the BJP State President and eight members of the National Council. The notification, schedule, and voter list have been published at the party headquarters, and the official notification for these elections has now been issued.
Nomination Process – June 30, 2025
Nominations will be accepted at the BJP headquarters in Deep Kamal, Shimla, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
In the event of multiple nominations, withdrawals will be allowed from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Result Declaration – July 1, 2025
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will formally announce the elected State President and eight National Council members at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla, at 11:00 AM on July 1. Dr. Bhardwaj will be joined by co-election officers Dr. Rajiv Saizal and Sanjeev Katwal at the event.

The list of 114 voters includes prominent BJP figures such as Jagat Prakash Nadda, Rajendra Garg, JR Katwal, Suresh Chandel, Swatantra Sankhyan, Bhuvneshwari Lumba, Dr. Rajeev Saizal, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Anurag Thakur, Kangana Ranaut, Indu Goswami, Dr. Sikander Kumar, Harsh Mahajan, and many others from across the state, including current and former ministers, MLAs, and senior party functionaries.
The election is being seen as a major organizational step for the BJP in Himachal, reinforcing internal democracy and paving the way for future leadership.
