To commemorate the 300th birth anniversary of the revered queen and social reformer Punyashlok Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, the BJP Mahila Morcha organized a grand seminar in Solan. The event saw participation from prominent leaders, including BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal and Co-incharge Sanjay Tandon. Speakers highlighted Ahilyabai Holkar’s remarkable contributions to governance, public welfare, and her lasting legacy in promoting social and spiritual values.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about Ahilyabai Holkar’s inspiring life and encourage women to follow in her footsteps. Emphasizing her relevance today, speakers described her as a timeless icon of women’s empowerment and righteous leadership.
Addressing the media, BJP Mahila Morcha State President Vandana Yogi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is one of the few political organizations that truly honors national icons who contributed to the nation’s growth. “Through such programs, BJP ensures the legacy of brave women, saints, and reformers is carried forward to future generations,” she said. Yogi called Ahilyabai Holkar a symbol of nari shakti (women power), praising her for her unparalleled contributions in governance, religion, and public service.
District President of BJP Mahila Morcha, Indu Vaid, underscored Ahilyabai’s focus on empowering women, building religious institutions, and serving the underprivileged. She noted that the seminar was designed to inspire local women and disseminate Ahilyabai’s ideals throughout society.
Participants from various backgrounds, including grassroots workers and local women, attended the event.
