Shimla, May 19:
Anurag Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur constituency, has been selected as part of a distinguished group of Indian lawmakers who will travel to various countries under Operation Sindoor — an initiative aimed at showcasing India’s decisive actions against terrorism on the global stage.
According to sources, the international outreach program is being coordinated by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and the overseas visits are scheduled to begin after May 22. The delegation is expected to visit countries including the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
Comprising MPs from multiple political parties, the delegation will be led by senior parliamentarians. During high-level meetings with government officials and opinion leaders in host countries, the MPs will present India’s robust anti-terror policy, military operations, and highlight, with evidence, Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism.
Anurag Thakur’s inclusion in this international delegation reflects his strong leadership and proven ability to effectively articulate India’s stance on global platforms. Notably, Thakur has previously represented India at forums such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), where his interventions were widely appreciated.
