Mandi, April 16 – Panic gripped Mandi district on Tuesday morning after the Deputy Commissioner’s office received a bomb threat via email, prompting the evacuation and sealing of major government buildings, including the DC office, SP office, and the court complex.

As a precautionary measure, all three vital government establishments were quickly evacuated of officials, staff, and the general public. Following the alert, intensive search operations are underway, with bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and commando units deployed to comb through the buildings.

No Suspicious Object Found Yet, Search Continues

While no explosive material has been discovered so far, security personnel remain on high alert, and the area continues to be cordoned off. Authorities are not taking any chances, and search efforts are ongoing to ensure safety.

Cyber Cell Investigating Threatening Email

Sources reveal that the threatening email claimed a bomb had been planted inside the DC office. However, the authenticity of the message is still under investigation. The police cyber cell is actively tracing the origin of the email and exploring all angles, including the possibility of a hoax.

Public Urged to Stay Calm

The threat has created panic and confusion among locals, with roads around the government complex temporarily closed and traffic diverted. As of now, no official statement has been issued by the DC or SP, but authorities have urged the public to stay calm and not fall for any rumors or misinformation.

Officials are expected to release a detailed update once the security clearance is completed and the email threat investigation progresses.
