Shimla, April 12: On the sacred occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, accompanied by his wife, visited the revered Jakhu Temple in Shimla to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Hanuman.

A special puja was organized in the temple premises, with the Governor actively participating in the rituals. The temple echoed with devotional chants and the energy of bhajan-kirtan, as devotees gathered in large numbers to celebrate the festival.

Addressing the devotees, Governor Shukla highlighted the spiritual significance of Lord Hanuman, describing him as a timeless figure whose devotion, humility, and strength inspire people across generations.

“Hanuman ji is an embodiment of strength without ego, and his unwavering devotion to Shri Ram teaches us true humility. If we walk the path of life with Hanuman ji as our guiding force, our ego naturally dissolves,” he said.

The Governor also reflected on the enduring strength of Sanatan Dharma, drawing comparisons with ancient civilizations.

“Greece, Rome, and Egypt have vanished from history, but Sanatan Dharma lives on. Those who tried to erase India and its culture faded into oblivion, while our traditions remain stronger than ever,” he added.

Governor Shukla extended Hanuman Jayanti greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh, praying for peace, prosperity, and harmony in society. The Governor also joined the devotees during the grand aarti, as the temple premises reverberated with chants of “Jai Bajrang Bali!”

The Jakhu Temple, home to a 108-feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman, remains a center of deep religious faith, especially on such auspicious occasions. The Governor’s visit added to the spiritual atmosphere, making Hanuman Jayanti celebrations even more special for those present.
