Shimla, April 6: In a heartfelt ceremony held in Shimla on Saturday evening, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released the much-awaited poetry collection titled ‘Buransh: The Fragrance of Words’, authored by Anupama Sharma, a young poetess and English lecturer at Government Senior Secondary School Girls, Hamirpur. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani.

Appreciating the poetess’s work, the Chief Minister lauded her ability to express complex human emotions through poetry. He remarked, “Anupama’s poems beautifully convey the pain of broken relationships, the process of introspection, and the desire for a fresh start, all against the serene backdrop of nature.” He went on to describe the poetry collection as an emotional journey that offers readers a glimpse into the inner world of the poet through lyrical expressions.

The collection, ‘Buransh: The Fragrance of Words’, consists of 39 poems and spans 56 pages. Published by Sutlej Prakashan, the book is available for purchase at a modest price of Rs 150. Notably, the proceeds from the book’s sale will be donated to the Chief Minister Sukh-Aashray Yojana, a government initiative aimed at supporting those in need.

Anupama Sharma, known for her love of nature, also enjoys activities such as bike riding, sports, and trekking—passions that shine through in her writing. Her deep connection with the natural world is reflected in the serene and reflective tone of her poetry.

The release of this poetry collection was not just a celebration of literary talent but also an opportunity to contribute to a noble cause, as the funds generated will support those in need through the Sukh-Aashray Yojana.
