Shimla: 14-year-old minor girl raped in hotel, 26-year-old accused arrested
Shimla, March 30: A case of rape of a minor girl has come to light in the New Shimla police station area of the capital. The police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
The victim’s mother has lodged a complaint in the New Shimla police station that Nitin (26), resident of Kandaghat district Solan, lured her 14-year-old daughter to a hotel and had physical relations with her there without her consent.
After this, her daughter looked sad and upset. When they questioned her, she narrated her ordeal. The daughter told that Nitin lured her with sweet talk and took her to the hotel on the pretext of roaming around. He raped her in the hotel. Based on this complaint, New Shimla police took immediate action and registered a case under Section 64, 65 (1) B (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and Section 4 of the POCSO Act.
Seeing the seriousness of the case, the police immediately started investigation and arrested the accused Nitin. DSP City Bikram said that the accused has been arrested and will be produced in court.
