“Rangotsav Mandi 2025″ : Youth Group set to Make ”Mandi Ri Holi” Bigger and Better

Mandi, 11 March 2025 – This year the festival of Mandi Ri Holi will be celebrated with a great display of traditions, creativity and freshness. The festival is renamed to “Rangotsav Mandi 2025” and will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13. Due to local legend Dharmendra Rana and the youth tended team Yuva Shakti, the organizers promise a more vibrant and lively event than any before.
Mandi, also called Chhoti Kashi because of its rich cultural heritage, has the tradition of celebrating Holi a day ahead of the rest of the state. Over the last 20 years, the Holi carnival at Mandi is an important annual festivity which takes place at Seri Manch — the place where the city assembles to enjoy the colors of the festival.
Dharmendra Rana, the founder of Mandi’s Holi celebration, is thrilled to see the festival continue to grow with a vibrant new team at the helm. “I organized this festival alone for many years, but now with the energy and vibrant minds of the youth, we are adequately equipped to chart new territories for Mandi’s Holi,” said Rana.
“Rangotsav Mandi 2025” is spearheaded by local personalities such as Deep Kapoor, Kartavya Vaidya, Monika Thakur, and Vineeta Thakur. We are looking forward to a grand celebration as all our team works hard to make it more fun and engaging for all age group compared to last year. Young businessman Deep Kapoor is sharing his dream, “My dream is to grow Mandi’s Holi into the biggest Holi not just in Himachal, but all of North India.
Monika Thakur shared the sentiments of Kapoor, while stating that event will not only promote the rich cultural heritage of Mandi but will also include exciting new elements. “This is not a mere festival; it’s an embodiment of our unity and culture. We are going to introduce some new features to make it more attractive, like an upgraded stage setup, and a high-tech sound system,” she added.
Safety has also received special focus, with elaborate security arrangements being put in place as per the directives of the district administration. The goal is to provide a fun festival while being safe for all ages attending the festival.
In addition, the organizer committee members, Kartavya Vaidya and Vineeta Thakur confirmed that the event will not only cater to one category of the people but will be coming with a range of activities for all the people. “We focused on launching features never seen before, making this year’s celebration memorable and special,” Vaidya said.
It is not hard to see why, with the combined effort of the organisers and the enthusiasm of Mandi’s clouded residents, Rangotsav Mandi 2025 is set to be a Holi celebration like no other, featuring all the elements of tradition, youth and community.
