Shimla, February 28: The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday posted Dr. Nipun Jindal, IAS (2014 batch) as the Managing Director, Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), with immediate effect. This was announced in an official notification which has given Dr. Jindal the additional charge in addition to his present positions.

He is currently the Director of the Department of AYUSH, Himachal Pradesh, and also serves as the Director of Digital Technologies and Governance. He is also the Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (HPSEDC). In this new role, Dr. Jindal will now be responsible for ensuring the operations and management of HRTC, which is one of the most critical public transport organizations of the State.

The appointment notification, which was signed by Prabodh Saxena, Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh, has been sent to the central government through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, New Delhi, the Chief Minister’s Office and other concerned departments.

Administrative Reforms and Efficiency – A Vision

Having served in various capacities with a strong administration experience and expertise in digital governance & technology, Dr. Jindal is expected to bring significant reforms and improvement to the operations of HRTC.
