Shivratri Festival International Cultural Parade Postponed Due to Bad Weather

Mandi, February 27: The International Cultural Parade, which is an essential part of the International Shivratri Festival, has been postponed due to bad weather. The parade, originally scheduled for February 28th at 6 pm, will now be on March 1st at 6 pm. Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mandi Rohit Rathore in this regard mentioned that inclement weather is the underlying reason for the change.

The inaugural International Cultural Parade to be organized during the Shivratri Festival this year, set to be a unified showcase of the cultures from the world and the region. The event will witness artists from 05 different countries as well as cultural groups from different states in India. Besides, cultural groups from various districts of Himachal will represent their unique traditions and practices to reflect the diversity and richness of the state as well as the country.

This will be followed by a round of the Indira Market area through Seri Manch, transportation of breathtaking visuals for the upbringing of the audience. The parade will also be publically viewable from rooftops of the Indira Market and surrounding buildings, as specific arrangements have been made for the public also, who may not directly join the procession, to still join the celebration.

The International Cultural Parade is one of the most significant features of the Shivratri Festival, attracting thousands of visitors to Mandi every year.
