Shimla, February 11: Spokesperson of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited has said that it is not proper for the employees of the board to protest by wearing black badges. He said that the board has not abolished any post, rather non-essential posts have also been adjusted. He clarified that some people are trying to mislead the employees of the board, but the talk of abolishing posts is far from the truth. Neither any post has been abolished nor is there any such intention. If any post has been abolished, employee leaders should show its notification.
The spokesperson said that one unit of the Uhal power project of the electricity board has started generating electricity and soon electricity will start being generated in the remaining two units as well. The board needs employees, so there is no question of abolishing posts. This project will provide financial support to the board, so a new division and other posts have been created for this project and employees have been adjusted in it. Apart from this, more recruitments will be done in the coming time to strengthen the functioning of the board. To provide better facilities to the people of the state, the board needs field staff like T-Mate which is necessary for the institution supplying electricity. Soon, other field staff including T-Mate will be recruited in the electricity board.
He said that the main function of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited is to supply electricity to the people of the state at cheap rates, for which the Regulatory Commission is repeatedly ordering the electricity board to reduce its unnecessary expenses. If unnecessary expenses are reduced, then in future the people of the state will get cheap electricity, which will ensure the development of the state.
