Manipur University Introduces NSS as a Value Added Course
The social responsibility commitment of Manipur University has grown through a significant development. The university has integrated National Social Service (NSS) into its academic structure through the establishment of Value Added Course (VAC) by Vice-Chancellor Prof. N Lokendra Singh.
Due to this change students can participate in NSS activities during their normal academic program. Students need more than classroom learning since real-life experiences matter equally. Swachhata Programme participants will conduct active involvement in cleanliness drives while leading awareness campaigns and community service programs that advance hygiene and sanitation initiatives.
Volunteers of the NSS program will actively contribute to social improvements as they conduct public space cleaning as well as spread awareness about waste management. The curriculum of this program teaches leadership methods while encouraging students to become aware members of society who deeply care about their country.
