Mission Tripti launched in Kangra
Kangra, Sourabh Jaiswal: Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa inaugurated Mission Tripti from the District Magistrate Office building. This campaign, which is being run under the joint aegis of the District Administration and Women and Child Development Department, will take care of the nutrition of the child from pregnancy to the age of two years.
Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said at the start of the campaign that the mental, intellectual and physical development of the child takes place rapidly from birth to the age of two years, keeping this in mind, Mission Tripti has been started.
He said that under this mission, with the help of Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, social organizations and panchayats, monitoring of the complete diet given to the children will be ensured and the family members will be made aware.
Hemraj Bairwa said that ‘Meri Katori’ is a component of Mission Tripti. He said that it is necessary for children to have a separate bowl so that they get adequate food and nutrition as per their requirement. Under this initiative, the Deputy Commissioner today gave food bowls and glasses to four children under the ‘Meri Katori’ campaign.
Along with this, the Annaprashan ceremony of a child who completed six months of age was also performed in the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
