Kullu: Youth developing eco-friendly tourism in Jibhi Valley – Demand from the government to provide loans at cheap interest rates
Kullu, Sourabh Jaiswal: Efforts are being made by the youth of Kullu district to develop eco-friendly tourism in rural areas. Under this, in Jibhi Valley of Banjar Assembly constituency, on the lines of Bhutan, the youth are moving towards developing eco-friendly tourism by building small homestays and cottages.
Many youth in the area are strengthening their economy by running self-employment.
Tourism businessmen of Tandi and Jibhi said that efforts are being made by the villagers to develop eco-friendly tourism by building small tree houses in the village.

Businessmen said that due to this step taken to save the environment, Tandi has become famous all over the world by becoming a tree village.
Businessmen has appealed to the State government to strengthen the infrastructure like roads, electricity and water to promote eco-tourism in rural areas so that tourists can get good facilities.
Apart from this, tourism businessmen have also demanded from the government to make a scheme for eco-friendly tourism and provide loans at cheap interest rates.
