Shimla, (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 13 (Diary Times): Leader of Opposition, Jairam Thakur, strongly criticized the state government’s failures, stating that a situation of anarchy has emerged in Himachal Pradesh. He alleged that the state’s treasury has been closed without any announcement for the past two months, resulting in people being unable to receive their payments.

Jairam Thakur stated that the closure of the treasury has halted all types of payments, directly impacting essential services and development projects. The supply of medicines has been disrupted, leading to a shortage of essential drugs in hospitals. Additionally, free treatment under the Himcare scheme has also been affected.

He said that this is the first time in the state’s history that, due to the government’s failures, medicine suppliers have halted their services. In addition, vendors and the general public are not receiving their payments. Thakur described this as the result of the government’s irresponsible working style.

He accused the Congress government of going back on the promises made during the elections. Criticizing Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, he stated that the government is causing chaos in the state under the guise of a system change.

The Leader of Opposition urged the government to lift the ban on the treasury immediately and address the problems faced by the people. He stated that it is shameful for any government to burden the state’s citizens by halting development projects and essential services.
