A tragic paragliding accident in Kullu district has claimed the life of 31-year-old tourist Mahesh Reddy from Hyderabad. The incident occurred at the popular Raison paragliding site when strong, unexpected winds caused his paraglider to plummet from a height of 25-30 feet, leaving him critically injured.
Mahesh Reddy was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bhuntar, where medical staff made efforts to stabilize his condition. However, his injuries were severe, and he was transferred to the Medical College in Nerchowk for further treatment. Tragically, despite the best efforts of the doctors, he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment.
Upon receiving the distressing news, local police responded quickly to the scene. The body of the deceased has been taken into custody and will undergo a post-mortem examination before being returned to his family.

Kullu Superintendent of Police, Dr. Karthikeyan Gokulchandran, confirmed the incident and assured the public that an investigation is underway. Authorities are working to understand the circumstances surrounding the fall and to assess whether safety protocols were followed.
