Himachal Pradesh Government Assigns Additional Responsibilities to four HAS Officers
New Orders Aim to Ensure Efficient Administration and Public Service
Shimla, 02 January: The Himachal Pradesh government has issued new orders to assign additional charges to several Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers, in a move aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative operations while serving the public interest. These changes are effective immediately.

Under the new orders, Jyoti Rana, currently serving as the ADM (Protocol) in Shimla district, will now also take on the additional responsibility of ADM (Law and Order) Shimla. Similarly, Narendra Kumar-II, serving as the Assistant Settlement Officer in Solan district, has been given the additional charge of Assistant Settlement Officer for Arki.
Additionally, Raman Kumar Sharma, the current SDM of Manali in Kullu district, will now also serve as the Joint Director at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute in Manali. Kunika Akras, who holds the position of Assistant Commissioner (Revenue)-cum-Tehsildar in Jhandutta, Bilaspur, will take on the additional charge of SDM Jhanduta.
This restructuring is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and addressing the increasing demands for effective governance across the state.
