Two Cars Collide Near Mallori Tunnel, Police Investigate Driver Negligence

Mandi, December 28: A severe head-on collision occurred on the four-lane highway near the Mallori tunnel under Police Station Sadar, Mandi. The incident involved two cars: one (HR19S-5441) traveling from Sundernagar to Manali and the other (HP76-8282) heading in the opposite direction from Manali to Sundernagar.

As a result of the crash, nine people sustained injuries and were quickly transported to the Zonal Hospital Mandi for medical treatment. Fortunately, the condition of the injured individuals is being closely monitored as they receive care. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident was caused by the negligence of both drivers involved.

In response to the incident, the police have filed a case against the two drivers under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Indian Penal Code. The authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
