Police Intensify Efforts to Combat Drug Trafficking in Tourist Areas

In a significant drug bust, Manikaran Police seized 43 grams of chitta (heroin) during a raid at The Camps & Cottage in Sumaropa on Friday. Acting on confidential information, the authorities searched the property and arrested two individuals: a 29-year-old woman from Gokul Puri, Delhi, and Rajat Kumar, also 29, from Bohal in Kangra district.

A case has been filed under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Manikaran Police Station. Both accused have been taken into custody, and investigations are underway to determine the source of the drugs and the network involved in their distribution.
