Sirmaur district is getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana

Sirmaur, 05 December: Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is proving to be effective for Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Under the scheme, the work of connecting the remote rural areas of the district with roads is being completed. In the third phase of the scheme, work is going on on a total of 23 roads in the district, while in the first phase, eleven roads and in the second phase, twelve roads have been completed.

Superintending Engineer of Public Works Department Arvind Kumar said that under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, a total of 290 km long roads are being constructed in Sirmaur district. Out of these roads, tarring work has been completed on 45 km of roads, construction work on the remaining roads is going on at a war footing.

He said that the construction work going on on the roads will be completed on time so that road facilities can be made available to the people of the rural area.
