Mandi: Leader of Opposition Jairam cornered CM Sukhu during the press conference
Mandi, November 22: The condition of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has become such that the priority of the government has become saving the government. Efforts are being made to save the CPS in Himachal Pradesh and the CM of the Congress government Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is only engaged in saving his chair while development in the state is at a standstill. Today, the Congress has forgotten to fulfill the guarantees given in the assembly elections on time. This was said by the former CM of Himachal Pradesh and currently the Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur in a press conference held in Mandi.
He alleged that the kind of decisions being taken in the name of economic reforms have some conspiracy somewhere in it. He said that the Congress is not in a position to run the government. He said that even during the Corona period, the BJP did not attach the property of any government departments nor handed it over to the private sector, while the Congress did not even appeal against the court orders in the interest of the state. On the other hand, to save the seats of their favorite CPS, lawyers are being hired in Delhi to advocate for the same, which is not right.
At the same time, Jairam Thakur alleged that the lack of maturity of the current leadership has been the reason for the situation Himachal has reached today because hasty decisions are being taken in the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, due to which not only the economic crisis is brewing but the internal fighting in the Congress party is also increasing. Jairam Thakur said that the way the court has recently given its decisions, it seems that the Congress is unable to run the government and the court itself has to take decisions in the interest of the state. He said that the Congress has crossed all limits of lying and has also talked about fulfilling ten guarantees in Himachal Pradesh in the elections being held in other states, which is shameful.
While answering a question on the attitude of the Central Government regarding Himachal Pradesh’s share in the Shanan Power Project located in Joginder Nagar of Mandi district, former CM Jairam Thakur said that earlier the BJP government had raised this matter before the Centre and the Centre had also said that it would take a decision on this issue when the time comes. Now the state government is also making efforts for the benefit of Himachal Pradesh and the opposition is also with them in this. During the press conference, Sadar MLA Anil Sharma, Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, Municipal Corporation Mandi Mayor Virendra Bhatt, District BJP President Nihal Chand, Payal Vaidya, Rakesh Walia and others were also present with him.
